Co Founder - Cait Wilson

  • Role at In Light:
    Founder & Wellness Advocate

What do you love most about what you do?
Watching people get their lives back. Whether it's returning to work, getting back to the gym, thinking clearly again, or simply having the energy to enjoy their family, those victories never get old.

What brought you to In Light?
My own health journey. After struggling with autoimmune-related challenges and Epstein Barr Virus (EBV), I found myself searching for answers that went beyond symptom management. Through light based therapies and other holistic wellness approaches, I experienced firsthand how powerful the right support can be. That experience sparked a passion for helping others find the same hope and healing.

    Favorite modality at In Light:
Anything involving light. I truly believe light is medicine, and I'm endlessly fascinated by its ability to support the body's natural healing processes.

One thing you're passionate about helping people with:
Concussions, traumatic brain injuries, and neurological recovery. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone regain clarity, confidence, and pieces of their life they thought were lost.

Favorite coffee order (or drink of choice):
A coconut milk latte with steamed cinnamon.

    Favorite way to recharge:
Getting outside, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time with the people I love.

    Favorite local spot in Vancouver:
Anywhere I can be outside on a sunny day.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you:
I'm an absolute sun junkie. If there's a patch of sunshine, I'll find it.

Favorite way to spend a day off:
Chasing the sun. Whether it's a beach day, a hike, a patio lunch, or simply sitting outside with a good book, I'm happiest when I'm outdoors soaking up every ray I can.

Marketing Director - Mariah Kooistra

  • Role at In Light:
    Marketing Director & Brand Guardian

What do you love most about what you do?
Connecting people to stories of hope. I love helping others discover what's possible and sharing the incredible transformations that happen every day at In Light.

What brought you to In Light?
My journey to In Light started during a season when I was struggling with anxiety and depression. My sister worked next door and kept encouraging me to stop in, take a tour, and meet the owners. Eventually, I did. Before long, we worked out a trade: marketing support in exchange for a series of mild hyperbaric sessions. What started as a simple exchange turned into something much bigger. I began as a Hyperbaric Technician so I could truly understand the therapy from the inside out, and over the years my role evolved into Marketing Director. That firsthand experience continues to shape how I tell our story today.

    Favorite modality at In Light:
    Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

One thing you're passionate about helping people with:
Listening. Truly listening. Sometimes people walk through our doors carrying a lot more than a health concern. They need someone to hear their story, and remind them there's still reason to hope. If you're struggling to believe things can get better, I've usually got enough faith for both of us.

Favorite coffee order (or drink of choice):
Iced Americano with cream and a splash of white chocolate

    Favorite way to recharge:
A good nap. Seriously, don't underestimate the power of true rest. Beyond that, getting outside the Clark County bubble with my family, especially for a trip to the beach. Something about salty air, a slower pace, and a change of scenery gets the creative juices flowing and helps me come back refreshed.

    Favorite local spot in Vancouver:
New Seasons. I know, I know... it's a grocery store.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you:
I've been married to my husband, Mason, for 12 years and joined In Light in 2019, just months before the world shut down. Also, my daughter Stevie has probably logged more hours in a hyperbaric chamber than almost anyone on our team. She practically grew up around here.

Favorite way to spend a day off:
Stepping into my daughter Stevie's world and seeing life through her eyes. This season goes by so fast, and I love creating memories with her and my husband, Mason. Those simple moments together are what matter most to me.

  • Role at In Light:
    Founder & Wellness Advocate

What do you love most about what you do?
Helping people find hope again. Some of my favorite moments are watching someone walk through our doors feeling discouraged and leave with renewed confidence in their body's ability to heal.

What brought you to In Light?
My own health journey. For years, I struggled with chronic migraines and searched for answers that went beyond simply managing symptoms. Later, my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 tongue and throat cancer. Walking through that experience together deepened my passion for learning about healing, resilience, and the body's incredible capacity to recover. Today, he is cancer-free with no recurrence, and those experiences continue to fuel my desire to help others explore proactive, supportive wellness options.

    Favorite modality at In Light:
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. It's where my passion for wellness began and remains one of the most powerful tools we offer.

One thing you're passionate about helping people with:
Finding hope when they feel like they've run out of options.

Favorite coffee order (or drink of choice):
A coconut milk latte with steamed cinnamon.

    Favorite way to recharge:
Spending time with family, enjoying nature, and slowing down enough to appreciate life's simple moments.

    Favorite local spot in Vancouver:
    The Vancouver Waterfront.

Something people might be surprised to learn about you:
I never set out to own a wellness center. What started as a personal search for answers eventually became a calling to help others on their own health journeys.

Favorite way to spend a day off:
A slow morning with coffee, time with loved ones, and nowhere I have to be.
